Part 3. Reading – Olivia’s Free Time

Olivia has a busy week, but she always tries to find time for her hobbies. She is a student, and she usually has a lot of homework, so free time is very important to her. In the evening, she likes reading on the sofa. She usually reads for about thirty minutes before bed because it helps her relax after a long day. Sometimes her little brother sits next to her, but he usually plays games on his phone.

Every Saturday morning, Olivia goes swimming at the local pool because she likes staying active and swimming makes her feel strong. She usually swims for one hour, and she often meets her friend Mia there. Today, Mia cannot come, so Olivia is swimming alone, but she doesn’t mind.

Right now, Olivia is learning how to play the guitar. She practices three times a week, usually in her room. Today she is practicing a new song for a school event next month. She thinks the song is difficult, but she enjoys learning something new, and she wants to get better step by step.

Olivia also likes cooking, especially on the weekends. She often cooks simple meals like pasta or soup, but she is trying a new recipe today because her grandparents are visiting. At the moment, she is cooking dinner in the kitchen while listening to her favorite music. She says cooking makes her feel creative.

When the weather is nice, Olivia and her friends go hiking. They usually go to a park near their town, but this weekend they are planning a longer trip in the mountains. Olivia is looking forward to it because she loves being outside and taking photos of nature.

In general, Olivia says hobbies make her feel relaxed and happy. She always tries to spend time doing the things she loves, even when she is busy. She believes that having hobbies is important for everyone.
